Basic skirt with a bow

Skirt for a teen monster high doll.

Yarn used: teetee alpakka
Needles: 2 mm / US 0 or needles to get the gauge
Gauge: 8.5 sts = 1 inch
Worked in the round (top down) with dpns

optional: silk ribbon, sewing yarn

k = knit
M1 = make one (pick up the strand that runs between the stitch you just knit and the next stitch on the left-hand needle: insert the left needle from front to back into the horizontal strand between the two stitches. Knit this stitch through the back loop)
p = purl
sts = stitches

Cast on 24 stitches. Divide sts in to three needles and join in the round.
Rows 1-3: (k1, p1) repeat
Row 4: (k3, M1) repeat to the end of row = 32 sts
Row 5: knit
Continue knitting until work measures about 5 cm / 2"

Now you can choose how to finish the skirt:
A) Cast off and weave in all ends (hem will roll a bit) or
B) Work two rows in rib (k1,p1) and cast off in rib and weave in all ends or
C) Thread a tapestry needle with a silk ribbon and weave it through live sts. Tie the ribbon in a bow. Secure the bow by sewing few sts on it. Carefully weave in all ends.
